Mam, could u please explain to me about the goods and services taxation scheme proposed by UPA govt .It is a three-year plan which could converge into a single-rate regime of 16% on all goods and services.the articles on the web say that VAT , excise and service taxes will cease to exist after it is introduced in the country by April 2011 .I did not completely understand it.Could u tell its advantages.Kindly study it in detail , i want to know everything about it.
